Dr. Marc Bienstock is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who combines clinical expertise with a comprehensive approach to patient care. With advanced training in both dentistry and medicine, he offers a complete scope of oral surgery services—from dental implants and bone grafting to facial trauma and reconstructive procedures. Born in Albuquerque and raised in Waterford, Connecticut, Dr. Bienstock graduated with honors in biology from Union College before earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Columbia University in 1997. He went on to complete his medical degree at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 2000 and his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
In 2003, he and his wife relocated to Santa Barbara with their two children—drawn to the coastal lifestyle and community-centered atmosphere. Here, Dr. Bienstock has built a reputation for his work in advanced implant dentistry and complex oral rehabilitation. He remains actively involved in implant study groups, where he lectures and serves as a surgical consultant in interdisciplinary treatment planning. He believes that great outcomes come from great communication—and values the expertise of each member of the care team.
Dr. Bienstock holds memberships with leading professional organizations including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), the California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (CALAOMS), and the American Dental Association (ADA). He exceeds continuing education requirements each year to ensure he’s offering the most up-to-date techniques and technology to his patients.
